Blog & Blogging - A Discussion

Introduction:

There are millions of blogs or weblogs in different shapes, sizes, contents, & platforms, which may be having some rules or may not be. A blog is some sort of personal diary or personal voice or a collaborative space or political soapbox or a collection of links or your memos to the world. Simply, a blog is a personal website, where you can write stuffs or upload videos or photos on an ongoing basis, which your readers will look into and may or may not connect you. A blog is a place or web space to collect and share things, that you find interesting. Technically speaking, a blog is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web, and consists of discrete entries or posts, typically displayed in reverse chronological order.
Example: Fromthesun

<Fromthesun is a blog about ecommerce, online advertising, marketing, & money making>

Prior to blogging, digital communities took many forums, including Usenet, commercial online services GEnie, BiX and the CompuServe, email lists, & Bulletin Board Systems. The modern blog evolved from the online diary, where people would keep a running account of their personal lives. Justin Hall, who began personal blogging in 1994 while a student at Swarthmore College, is generally recognised as one of the earlier bloggers. Since then blogs and blogging have come across many many changes/innovations/improvements. Now every person, company, politician, corporate body , government organization is blogging through a blog to reach and interact with the people. The emerging influence of blogs and blogging on our soceity is best pointed out by The President of the United States of America, Mr Barack Obama on saying "if the direction of the news is all blogosphere, all opinions, with no-serious fact-checking, no serious attempts to put stories in context, then what you will end up getting is people shouting at each other across the void but not a lot of mutual understanding".
A lot of people use a blog to organize their own thoughts, while others command influential, worldwide audiences of millions. Blogging is about more than just putting your own thoughts on the web. It is about connecting with and hearing from anyone who reads your work.
